Spend an unforgettable day in the Puszta (or the Hungarian ‘Steppe’) which is designated a national park by UNESCO and approximately one hour south east of Budapest. Your first point of call is Kecskemet, home of the famous Zoltan Kodaly Pedagogical Institute of Music which attracts gifted musical students from all over the world. After a guided tour of the town, you then go by horse and carriage out onto the Puszta to Lajosmizse to visit the Lippizaner stud farm where you are welcomed with a traditional welcome drink of Palinka. Then, witness a stunning performance by superbly dressed horsemen riding the world famous Lippizaner horses and afterwards enjoy a typical Hungarian meal (3-course Menu with wine) served in a local 'csarda' (a Hungarian eating house) to the accompaniment of gipsy music. The tour ends in Budapest.
This not-to-be-missed Puszta tour starts from Hotel Intercontinental. The guides we provide are highly qualified professionals.
The prices quoted include a pick-up fee, so all guests are transferred to the meeting point from any Budapest hotel or private address, to arrive half an hour before the start. Guests can wait for the departure in the pleasant atmosphere of the foyer at the H. Intercontinental and perhaps enjoy a cup of coffee.
